Yvonne gets much of her inspiration from travelling. She is attracted to old landscapes, such as medieval villages and castles, but also to the people interacting with them – tourists, street performers, musicians and dancers. It is not surprising that she came to printmaking after a career as an academic specialising in tourism.

She produces both etchings and screenprints. and likes to incorporate textures such as bubble wrap, onion bags and textured wallpapers into her etchings. Yvonne’s screenprints are frequently based on photographic imagery and often printed on gold or silver paper. Images from her etchings inspire her screenprints and vice versa.

Yvonne prints at the Putney School of Art and Design and at Kew Studios. She is a member of Southbank Printmakers and her work is on display in their gallery in Gabriel’s Wharf on London’s South Bank.
