Jane work is primarily focused on the conceptualisation of the garden and the landscape. She is interested in the relationship between nature, landscape and the human condition, as well as the haptic nature of printmaking and artists books.
More recent work has used the materiality and physical layers of printmaking to explore the often hidden layers of history and narratives within the landscape, both ancient and modern. She uses the textural and layered properties of a variety of print processes combined with handmade papers and chine colle to hint at these hidden narratives.
Jane has had successful careers both as an Illustrator and an Academic at a University. She now spends much of her time concentrating on her own work.
